ETIAS costs €20 for adults (free for under 18 and over 70), is valid for 3 years, and allows stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period.
The Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) has been operational since 2009. It is required for citizens of 41 Visa Waiver Program countries visiting the United States.
ESTA costs $21 (increasing to $40 in 2026), is valid for 2 years, and allows stays of up to 90 days per visit to the US.
