About Czechia
Prague is the obvious entry point — gothic spires, baroque squares, a castle complex that takes a full afternoon — and after you've done the Charles Bridge dance, the rest of the country opens up. Český Krumlov bends around a river loop under another castle; Olomouc has the same architectural lineage at a fraction of the tourist load.
Czech beer culture is unrivaled in Europe and intentionally cheap; a half-liter of unpasteurized Pilsner Urquell in a Plzeň cellar costs less than a coffee in Vienna. Pair it with svíčková or roast pork and dumplings, and don't skip the spa towns of Karlovy Vary and Mariánské Lázně.
